"So how did you hear about us?" Is the first question you hear once you finally work out how to find the Hidden Pizza Restaurant.
This is up there with one of the best marketing ideas I have seen in a while.
How I found them...
Step 1: Saw a group on Facebook and became a "Fan"
Step 2: Noticed the website link and clicked on it
Step 3: Found the restaurant like you would any other business (Yellow Pages)
Step 4: Called to place my order
Step 5: Walked around in circles until I found the dark dirty alley way
Step 6: BINGO!! Amazing free pizza.
When you have nothing to loose, what is the harm in a little bit of adventure?
The guys behind this wondrous hideaway have created enough hype to continuously have people spreading the word of freebies yet haven't made the challenge too tricky that people don't bother.
It was surprisingly quieter than I had anticipated yet I saw people being turned away because they had not pre-ordered their pizzas over the phone - admittedly I did call at 5pm to ensure I didn't miss out.
For such a great concept, I hope the Hidden Pizza Restaurant is able to maintain it's appeal after it's "two week free pizza" introduction is complete. If it wasn't so tricky to find, I would be having free dinner, and homemade lemonade, for the next few weeks.
